Fred Utley CC
Responsible for the leadership of the Club. He coordinates the efforts of the other committee members to achieve the goals of each individual member, as well as the goals of the Club.
Fred has achieved his Competent Communicator Award.
Fred has been, at various times, a seagoing engineer, robotics designer, property developer, publican, IT Project Manager, company director and entrepreneur. He has a paassionate belief in South Africa's potential and has spent much of the past decade mentoring its emerging entrepreneurs.He has served as an independent strategy consultant to several development NGO's. He is currently working as a marine surveyor and consultant to the local boatbuilding industry. In his spare time, Fred is an enthusiastic chef, a capable DIY'er, a keen sailor, an aspirant public speaker and an avid student of life's big ideas.

Ruth Hobbs, CC
Manages the educational needs of club members and planning of the program for each meeting. He is instrumental in assisting members of the club, as well as the club itself, to meet their goals.
Ruth has been a member of Cape Town Toastmasters for four years. She ahs studied Mathermatics; taight Mathematics; married physicist and fellow rock-climber Julian; (and they've been roped together ever since!);programmed computers; taught flying; suddenly found she was married to a geologist; raised 4 children while moving house, town and country every two years or so; living in the stix most of the time, (making it difficult to follow the afore-mentioned careers); earned an advanced degree in being able to fix almost anything;climbed big mountains in Turkey and learned to speak Turkish; now in Cape Town, still repairing everything as their posessions are ageing faster than they are. Still climbing mountains.

Adri Grobler
Responsible for managing the Club records.
Adri joined Toastmasters in March 2011 to improve her eloquence in English and to become more comfortable with public speaking. She is working through her Competent Communicator programme and learning to slow down when she becomes too excited!
Adri loves travelling, scuba diving, photography, cooking, art and meaningful conversations. She is a book worm with a special interest in leadership, strategy, organisational behaviour and personal growth. As an Occupational Therapist with an MBA, she currently works for a management consulting firm in Cape Town.

Jayson Alcock
Responsible for calling the meeting to order, arranging the venue, and assisting the speakers.
Jayson is an experienced, dedicated and professional Master of Ceremonies. His range of functions include weddings, corporate functions, birthdays and other events. He will entertain your guests/delegates/clients and eliminate stress by making sure everything runs smoothly while you relax and enjoy.
Jayson joined Toastmasters to further improve his public speaking skills and to network with and learn from other speakers.
