President
Aletta spends most of her time organising her
family.This includes various fund-raising activites for the schools her
children attend. She also assists in the running of the family
business. Her previous career was as a Marketing Manager in the Fast
Moving Consumer Goods area. She bacame interested in public speaking in
1979, while on Rotary Exchange to Canada. Her hobbies include
hiking, running and reading.
Aletta Rochat, ACB, ALB Responsible for leadership of the Club and coordinating the efforts of the remainder of the committee to achieve the goals of the Club and the individual members.
Aletta has been a member of Cape Town Toastmasters since September
2008. Aletta has achieved her Advanced Communicator Bronze Award, as well as her Advanced Leader Bronze Award.

VP Education
Fred Utley, CC
Manages the educational needs of members and planning of the program.
Fred has been a member of Cape Town Toastmasters for just over one year. Fred has achieved his Competent Communicator Award.
"Fred has been, at various times, a seagoing engineer, robotics designer, property developer, publican, IT project manager, company director and entrepreneur. He has a passionate belief in South Africa’s potential and has spent much of the past decade mentoring its emerging entrepreneurs and serving as an independent strategy consultant to several development NGO’s. He is currently working as a marine surveyor and consultant to the local boatbuilding industry. In his spare time Fred is an enthusiastic chef, a capable DIY’r, a keen sailor, an aspirant public speaker, and an avid student of life’s big ideas."

 VP Membership Liz Dewing, ALS
Responsible for building club membership and increasing member satisfaction.
Currently a Project Manager with Old Mutual, Liz
has enjoyed a diverse career spanning IT, Recruitment and Management
Consulting. A keen reader, Liz is also a published Author and enjoys
writing short stories in her spare time as well as reading for Tape Aids
for the Blind. Her interest in public speaking began when she was an
Exchange Student in Australia in 1982.
